GHTC endorses letters from the Global Health Council's Tuberculosis (TB) Roundtable to Senate appropriators urging funding increases for TB programs in the fiscal year funding bills for State and Foreign Operations (SFOPS) and Labor, Health and Human Services (LHHS).

GHTC delivers statement on strengthening WHO’s emergency response at HHS listening session

GHTC delivered a statement at a US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) stakeholder listening session urging the US delegation to prioritize R&D capacity strengthening within global frameworks to strengthen pandemic preparedness. The statement—which will inform US engagement in the member state working group on strengthening the World Health Organization’s (WHO) preparedness and response to health emergencies—calls for the inclusion of R&D capacity strengthening within implementation of the International Health Regulations, the expansion of regional manufacturing capacities, and enshrinement of R&D coordination and financing mechanisms as part of any future pandemic treaty.
